Ms. Marks - 6th Grade Counselor

My name is Ms. Marks and I’m so excited to be serving as the 6th grade counselor at Kinawa this year.

A little about me—I'm proud to have been born and raised in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. Before becoming a school counselor, I spent seven wonderful years as a special education teacher, an experience that shaped my passion for supporting students in both their academic and emotional growth.

Outside of school, I’m a proud parent to my amazing son who’s an 8th grader this year. I love beginning my day with a cup of coffee, going on adventures, and spending quality time with my loved ones. 

I’m truly looking forward to working with our 6th grade students and their families this year. My goal is to be a consistent, supportive presence as students navigate this important year of growth and transition. Please don’t hesitate to reach out—I'm here to help!
